The Yukon Stocked Lakes Program supports the stocking of 18 pothole lakes throughout Yukon. These lakes provide anglers with opportunities to catch Kokanee Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Arctic Char.
Throughout August our Wildlife Resource Manager Brandon was on the Yukon River assisting William Twardek, a PhD Candidate with the Canadian Wildlife Federation and Karlie Knight the Lands Coordinator of the Carcross Tagish First Nation.
From May to September both our Fish Ladder staff and Wildlife Resource Manager had the opportunity to assist the Whitehorse Rapids Fish Hatchery on a number of breeding and stocking projects.
From early June to the end of August, our Wildlife Resource Manager and Fish Ladder staff were responsible for conducting creek walks and fish ladder maintenance at Wolf Creek.
